Phase 2 week 5 v Hessle Sporting Cobras

Another week another 2 losses, 3-0 & 1-0. We aren't playing badly but we're not creating chances and individual errors are costing us. It was a nice sunny day though!

Phase 2 week 4 v Hedon Rangers

2 losses again unfortunately, and again the difference was the opposition scored and we didn't despite creating lots of chances. The games were lost 2-0 & 3-0. Thought for the week - Why do the coaches and parents shout 'send it' when they see a player in space? Wouldn't it be easier to understand if they shouted 'pass it'.

Phase 2 Week 3 v North Ferriby United

A lacklustre performance from the shot shy Devils saw Ferriby win both games, 3-2 & 2-0 respectively. Both of the Devils goals were scored by Jeff, and the ferriby keeper made some good saves too.

Phase 2 Week 2 v Westella & Willerby

The 2 games were played in very difficult conditions due to the strong winds. The 1st game was won by Westella & Willerby 1-0 after a free kick was awarded for what looked like a collision. The decision was harsh, but if it had been the other way round we'd probably have taken it. Westella & Willerby scored direct from the free kick and there was no time for the Devils to get back into the game.
The 2nd game ended 1-1 with Westella & Willerby scoring first, before a late (but well deserved ) equaliser from Jeff.
Harry takes his penalty at the end of the game.

Phase 2 week 1 v Pelican Boys

A game of 2 halves! The 1st game was 1-0 to Pelican Boys, the 2nd game was 1-0 to East Hull Devils. The devils should have won both games and by more than 1-0. A combination of near misses and a very good goalkeeper kept the Devil's from scoring more.
